HILLSBORO, Kan. – Madison Nelson and Ethan Crawford have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their efforts during the past week. This marks Nelson's second time winning the award and the first time for Crawford.
 
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: MADISON NELSON, SOFTBALL
 
Madison Nelson is a Senior from Turlock, Calif.
 
Nelson threw a complete game shutout in her final home game as a Bluejay against Bethel last week, sitting down three batters and keeping the Threshers off the board. She only allowed one runner on base via a walk and ended the week with a .86 WHIP. On the fielding side of things, she recorded one putout and one assist, good for a fielding percentage of 1.000. Additionally, she was able to pick off a runner looking to earn a stolen base.
 
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: ETHAN CRAWFORD, BASEBALL
 
Ethan Crawford is a Freshman from Derby, Kan.
 
Crawford was called into action late in the second game against Evangel on Friday and the freshman did not disappoint. He went 4-5 at the plate, good for an impressive .800 batting average on the weekend and an .833 on-base percentage. Perhaps Crawford's biggest claim to fame in his first varsity digs is his five RBIs, topped off with a solo homer to walk off the final game of the series in the bottom of the 8^th on Saturday.
