Lillie Veer and
Kalep Crane have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their efforts over the last week. This week marks Veer's fourth time receiving the award, while it marks Crane's third time. This week will be the final time the award is given out in 2024, as athletes are currently at home and on Christmas break.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: LILLIE VEER, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Lillie Veer is a Sophomore from Newton, Kan.
Veer led the Lady Bluejays in scoring against Southeastern last Monday, contributing 11 points and pulling down seven defensive boards, as well as snagging two steals. Veer continues to lead the team in scoring through this point in the season, averaging 12.5 points per game.
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: KALEP CRANE, MEN'S BASKETBALL
Kalep Crane is a Senior from Simsboro, La.
Crane led the Bluejays on offense over both oof their contests in Arizona this past weekend, scoring 12 points against Nelson (Ariz.) and exploding for 28 in Tabor's huge overtime victory over Cal Maritime on Saturday. Crane's 28 points against the Keelhaulers marks his third highest scoring game this season, as he currently leads the team, averaging an impressive 20.9 points per game.
