HILLSBORO FORD POWERJAYS OF THE WEEK: FEBRUARY 10-15

HILLSBORO, Kan. Alyvia Owens, Cheyenne Washington, and Kalep Crane have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their performances this past week. This marks the second time that Owens has received this award, the first for Washington, and the sixth for Crane.
 
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAYS OF THE WEEK: ALYVIA OWENS, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL & CHEYENNE WASHINTON, SOFTBALL
 
Alyvia Owens is a Graduate Student from Hutchinson, Kan. and Cheyenne Washington is a Senior from Stockton, Calif. 
 
Owens had an impressive display in wins over Bethany and Saint Mary, scoring 15 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter against Bethany and scoring 17 points in her 20 minutes on the floor against Saint Mary. Over the two-game stretch, Ownes shot .669 from the field and .762 from the charity stripe, as well as tallying 12 total rebounds, three total assists, one block, and one steal. Her efforts helped the Lady Bluejays earn two solid wins on the week.
 
Washington had a monster game in the Bluejays' first game against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday, recording four hits, four runs, one double, and one homer. For the game, Washington hit an impressive .615 and posted a .909 fielding percentage, tallying 10 put-outs.
 
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: KALEP CRANE, MEN'S BASKETBALL
 
Kalep Crane is a Senior from Simsboro, La.
 
Crane had an incredible night on Thursday in the Bluejays' thrilling win over Bethany, exploding for 46 points and shooting 57.14% (16-28) from the field and 87.5% (14-16) from the charity stripe. In addition to his huge scoring night, Crane also grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, and grabbed two steals. Crane's 46 points lands him at second on the Tabor College Men's Basketball All-Time Single-Game Scoring list, second only to LeRoy Dick's 50 points in 1961. Crane back up his performance on Thursday with a 17-point outing against Saint Mary on Saturday for Senior Day.
