HILLSBORO, Kan. – Candince Moreno-Hairabedian and
Vance Shewey have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their efforts during the last week of competition. This week marks the first time Moreno-Hairabedian has received the honor and Shewey's fourth time.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: CANDINCE MORENO-HAIRABEDIAN, SOFTBALL
Candince Moreno-Hairabedian is a Freshman from Reedley, Calif.
Moreno-Hairabedian had a huge day last Wednesday after returning to the Bluejays' lineup after recovering from an injury, hitting not one, but two three-run bombs in the series against Saint Mary, providing vital support that helped the team roll to a series sweep. She also finished the week with six total RBIs.

Vance Shewey is a Senior from Meade, Kan.
Shewey took first in the invite division of the Men's High Jump at the ESU Relays on Saturday, topping a loaded field of athletes from the NCAA DI, NCAA DII, and NAIA levels and earning an NAIA "A' standard and qualifying for the NAIA Track & Field National Championships with a mark of 2.11m.
