Kloe Bowin and
Mikey Acosta have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their outstanding efforts during last week's slate of competition. This is the fourth time that Bowin has received this award and the first time for Acosta.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: KLOE BOWIN: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Kloe Bowin is a Graduate Student from Tahlequah, Okla.
Bowin came up big in the Lady Bluejays thrilling overtime victory over Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday, pouring in 22 points, tying her career high, shooting 80% (8-10) from the field. In addition to her strong efforts on offense, Bowin also recorded two blocks, one steal, and four rebounds in the win. With her performance on Saturday, Bowin currently sits third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.5 points per game.
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: MIKEY ACOSTA, BASEBALL
Mikey Acosta is a Senior from Von Ormy, Texas.
Acosta had himself an afternoon on Friday, hitting a walk-off three-run bomb to lift the Bluejays over LSU Alexandria at the Cajun Collision. After Friday's game, Acosta now has five career homers in a Bluejay uniform.
