HILLSBORO FORD POWERJAYS OF THE WEEK: MARCH 17-22

HILLSBORO, Kan. – Valencia Andov and Jared Mack have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their extraordinary performances during last week's action. This marks the first time that either athlete has received this award.

HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: VALENCIA ANDOV, WOMEN'S GOLF

Valencia Andov is a Senior from Pekanbaru, Indonesia.

Andov had an excellent showing at the Early Spring Classic in Walnut Creek, Texas, winning the individual tournament title and posting a career-best two-over par score. Her efforts helped her hold a steady lead over athletes from Southwestern and Houston-Victoria.

HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: JARED MACK, BASEBALL

Jared Mack is a Junior from Missouri City, Texas.

Mack had a huge week for the Bluejays, batting .471 on the week, but batting .500 or better in three out of five games. He had eight RBIs in Tuesday's win over a ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan squad and recorded two massive homers. Over the week, he went 8-17 at the plate, recorded two doubles, and three homers, as well as 11 RBIs. He also had a solid .526 on base percentage and recorded .500 or higher in that category three out of five games and recorded five extra base hits.
