Kassidy Beam and
Isaiah Cohens have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their efforts during last week's action. This marks the second time Beam has received the award and the first time for Cohens.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: KASSIDY BEAM, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Kassidy Beam is a Graduate Student from McPherson, Kan.
Beam had a huge week last week, going for 14 points in Wednesday's win over Southwestern, shooting 50% (5-10) from the field and going for 15 points and shooting 50% (5-10) from the field. In each of those contests, Beam splashed in four threes, shooting 44.4% (4-9) and 50% (4-8) from beyond the arc. In addition to her scoring efforts, Beam tallied 11 boards over the two games (four and seven respectively) and dished out three assists and grabbed one steal. In the win over Southwestern, Beam was tied for the lead on the scoring front and was second on the team in scoring against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: ISAIAH COHENS, BASEBALL
Isaiah Cohens is a Graduate Student from Wichita, Kan.
Cohens put up monster numbers over the weekend in the No. 22 Bluejays' season opening series on the road at Wayland Baptist. Cohens batted .563 over the four-game series, recording nine hits, one homer, and 10 RBIs, playing a huge part in each of the four wins. Cohens currently leads the NAIA with his 10 RBIs.
