Juliana Alaniz and
Molelwa Abendelwa have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their performances during last week's slate of competition. This marks the first time that either athlete has earned this award.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: JULIANA ALANIZ, VOLLEYBALL
Juliana Alaniz is a Senior from San Antonio, Texas.
Alaniz made a major contribution in the Bluejays' sweep of Sterling last Wednesday, recording a monster 14 kills on the evening, leading Tabor to an impressive victory inside Tabor College Gymnasium. Alaniz also recorded six kills during Saturday's action, bringing her total to 20 for the week.
HILLSBORO FORD MALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: GLENN MAIDEN JR.
Molelwa Abendelwa is a Freshman from Wichita, Kan.
Abendelwa netted a hat-trick last Wednesday afternoon to give the Bluejay Men a huge 3-1 result over Sterling, providing the entire offense for the squad. The three goals bring Abendelwa's career goal total to four so far.
