HILLSBORO, Kan. – Reese Hefley and
Vance Shewey have been named as this week's Hillsboro Ford PowerJays of the Week for their efforts during this past week's slate of competition. This week marks the first time Hefley has received the award and the fifth time for Shewey.
HILLSBORO FORD FEMALE POWERJAY OF THE WEEK: REESE HEFLEY, SOFTBALL
Reese Hefley is a Junior from Hillsboro, Kan.
Hefley made her mark in thrilling fashion in the second half of Saturday's doubleheader against Oklahoma Wesleyan. The score was tied at 7-7 in the top of the 9
th with two outs on the board and the bases juiced, as she took the plate. The go-ahead run for the Bluejays came in as Hefley hit a gapper to left center field to drive in the final run to walk the game off.

Vance Shewey is a Senior from Meade, Kan.
Shewey had an incredible weekend at the KT Woodman Invite, winning the Invitational Division in the Men's High Jump with a mark of 2.10m, hitting the NAIA "A" Standard mark, qualifying for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Marion, Ind. He also beat out NCAA DI athletes from Wichita State and Kansas State.
