MAIZE, Kan. – Tabor Softball returned to action on Wednesday after a nearly two-week hiatus for a non-conference tune-up before opening up KCAC play next week. The Bluejays took on NCAA Division II foe Newman.

• With the win, Tabor improves to 7-8 on the season
• The game marked the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs
• Tabor owns a 4-3 record in the all-time series

 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Reagan Hammons led the way offensively with three RBIs, all courtesy of a three-run homer in the top of the 3^rd inning
• Rachaely Yaya (2), Xeanna Samifua (2), Khily Brower (2), Candince Moreno-Hairabedian (1), Hailey Kobler (1), and Harley McLaughlin (1) also recorded RBIs in the win, with Brower and Samifua also hitting homers
• Marisa Carranza earned the win in the circle, striking out two batters
• Tabor had a massive 3^rd inning, scoring 12 runs and setting the stage for a run-rule just two innings later
