HILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College Volleyball opened up the home portion of their 2026 schedule on Wednesday afternoon as they hosted Mid-America Christian and Baker in the Tabor College Triangular.
The Bluejays took on Mid-America Christian in the first match of the evening and immediately proved to be a tough out. MACU took the first set, 27-25, while Tabor answered back taking the set, 26-24. The Evangels pulled away and won the final two sets, 25-18 and 25-18, taking the match, 3-1.
Esther Nederveen led the team offensively with 18 kills, while
Kingzley Ratzlaff followed with 12 kills, and
Camila Mendes Toledo finished with nine. Mendes Toledo recorded two service aces to lead the team, while
Alana Mader led the way with four blocks. Defensively,
Olivia Lazenby led the team with 14 digs, while
Annerieke Nederveen (12), and Mendes Toledo (10) followed.
Annerieke Nederveen recorded a season-high 43 assists in the loss.
The second match saw the Bluejays perform in similar fashion, with the match seeming like it could go either way, but Baker pulled out the win, 3-0 (22-25, 24-26, 18-25).
Esther Nederveen once again led the way in kills, finishing with 11, while Ringzley Ratzlaff finished with seven, and
Josephine Fuamatu finished with four. Fuamatu also led the team in digs, while
Ashley Spease led the way with two service aces.
Annerieke Nederveen finished with a team-high 21 assists in the loss.
Tabor Volleyball returns to action on Saturday as the head to Omaha, Neb. to compete in the College of Saint Mary Tournament where they will take on Graceland and CSM.
