KANSAS – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced their selections for the KCAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week Tuesday morning.
Tayton Smith was named KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for her performance against Southwestern last Wednesday.
Smith had an outstanding evening against the Moundbuilders, pouring in 22 points and shooting an impressive 66.7% (10-15) from the field. Almost equally impressive was her stat line outside of scoring. She hauled in 16 total rebounds (seven offensive, nine defensive), dished out one assist, snagged one steal, and cleaned the glass with two blocks. This marks the third time this season that Smith has earned a KCAC weekly honor.
