BLUEJAY WOMEN LOOK TO EARN WIN OVER OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN ON MONDAY

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Due to the potential for some very heavy winter storms over the weekend, Shawn Reed and his Bluejay Women's Basketball squad will have some extra time to prepare for Oklahoma Wesleyan, as they will make the trip down to Bartlesville on Monday.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Came back to beat Southwestern in overtime on Wednesday, 66-60
  • Coach Reed earned his 300th career win
  • Tayton Smith once again led the team in scoring, pouring in 22 points
  • As if her scoring efforts were not enough, Smith also dominated the boards, hauling in 16 total rebounds on the evening (seven offensive, nine defensive)
  • Adrian Hazelwood shared the love, dishing out five assists
  • The Bluejays shot 42.6% (26-61) from the field, 32.0% (8-25) from three, and 75.0% (6-8) from the free throw line
 
LAST TIME AGAINST THE EAGLES
  • Last met on November 15th in Hillsboro
  • Tabor dominated Oklahoma Wesleyan in the first meeting of the season between the two teams, 78-46
  • Khassidy Warr led the Eagles in scoring with 13 points, while Lillie Veer added 18 points for Tabor
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
  • 7-12 on the season, 2-11 in KCAC play
  • Currently 12th in the KCAC standings
  • Fell 87-50 at Evangel on Wednesday
  • Gracie Alexander currently leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game
  • Alexander's 14 points were a team-high in Saturday's loss
 
SERIES HISTORY VS OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN
  • Dates back to 1982, with 57 all-time meetings
  • When the series started, Oklahoma Wesleyan was known at that time as Bartlesville Wesleyan College
  • Tabor won the first meeting, 64-36
  • The Bluejays currently own a 31-26 record in the all-time series
  • Tabor's largest margin of victory came earlier this season with a 32-point victory, 78-46
  • Tabor has won eight of the last 10 matchups between the two teams
