CRANE, SHOENFELT EARN ALL-KCAC HONORS

WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced their 2024-25 KCAC Men's Basketball All-Conference selections.

Kalep Crane has been named as an All-KCAC Honorable Mention selection for his efforts during this past season. Crane led the conference in scoring, averaging 21.9 points per game and recording 590 total points on the season. Crane proved himself as an offensive weapon in his second and final season in a Bluejay uniform, with several 30+ point outings, including a 46-point performance in an overtime win over Bethany.

James Shoenfelt has been named as a KCAC All-Freshman Team selection for his efforts over the past season. Shoenfelt, a transfer who spent a redshirt year at NCAA Division II Southern Wesleyan University (S.C.), provided a huge boost to the Tabor offense in his first season in Hillsboro. Shoenfelt averaged 9.6 points per game and recorded a career-high 20 points in the overtime win over Bethany College in mid-February. Shoenfelt led the team in three-point shooting and finished ranked 10th in the KCAC, sinking 58 treys in 172 attempts (33.7%). Shoenfelt also led the Bluejays with 52 assists on the season, just one more assist than Crane, averaging 1.9 assists per game.

In what may have been a trying season for any other group of individuals, Crane and Shoenfelt helped lead the Bluejays both on the court but also with class off the court and in the classroom as well and both will forever be remembered as outstanding Bluejay athletes and most importantly, outstanding young men.

Crane now has an opportunity to showcase his skills and toughness at the next level, but Shoenfelt is just getting started and the future is bright.
