HILLSBORO, Kan. – Head Coach, Josh Roach and the Tabor College Men's Basketball team tipped off the 2025-26 home slate with the 2025 Tabor Classic on Friday evening. The weekend saw the Bluejays take on two quality opponents from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
Tabor College: 60 – Concordia University Nebraska: 85
GAME NOTES
- With the loss, the Bluejays fall to 0-2 on the season
- Friday's contest marked the sixth all-time meeting between the two teams, dating back to 1993
- Tabor owns a 4-2 record in the series
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Marque Wilkerson led Tabor with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals
- Khalil Allen and Niieihii Blackbear rounded out the team in double-figures with 12 and 11 points respectively
- Jake Weaver flirted with double-figures off the bench, finishing with nine total points
- Kam Kaniper also recorded two blocks and two steals in the loss
- Blackbear led the team with eight total boards

- With the win, the Bluejays improve to 1-2 overall
- Saturday's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Marque Wilkerson exploded for 25 points in the win
- Zach Hiebert (12), Andrija Maric (12), and Niieihii Blackbear (10) rounded out the team in double-figures
- Maric had himself a day on the boards, pulling down 16 total rebounds (four offensive, 12 defensive)
- Blackbear recorded a team-high two blocks and three assists
- Wilkerson and Hiebert each finished with three assists to lead the team
NEXT UP
- Tabor will make the short trip down Highway 56 to take on non-conference rival Central Christian on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00pm.
