BLUEJAY GOLF TEAMS SET FOR HESSTON SPRING SHOOTOUT

HESSTON, Kan. – The Bluejay men's and women's golf teams are set to compete in the Hesston Spring Shootout on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, at Hesston Golf Park. The two-day tournament will provide another opportunity for both teams to build momentum as they work toward the KCAC Conference Championship in late April.

On the women's side, Valencia Andov will look to continue her strong play after securing her first win of the season at the Early Spring Classic and earning KCAC Golfer of the Week honors. Andov, a consistent performer, has already achieved accolades such as Newcomer of the Year and a top-five conference finish in previous seasons. The Bluejay women will face tough competition but aim to put together a strong team performance.

For the men's team, Ryan Hill and company will look to improve on their fifth-place finish at the Early Spring Classic. Hill, who placed 11th individually in the last tournament, will be a key player to watch as the Bluejays seek to fine-tune their game ahead of conference play.

Head coach Micheal Jamieson had this to say about the upcoming meet "We look to bounce back this week at our home event.  We know Hesston really well and should provide a nice stepping stone for us halfway through our Spring season. For Valencia she has another opportunity to win for the second week in a row which would be great for her to keep up the momentum"

With only a few tournaments left before the KCAC Championships, the Bluejays will aim to make strides in their consistency and execution over the two days of competition.
