KANSAS – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced their selections for the KCAC Football Players of the Week on Monday afternoon.
 
Jonathon Scheffler was named KCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts this past Saturday against Kansas Wesleyan.
 
Scheffler had himself a day against the Coyotes, hitting field goals from 45 and 50 yards respectively, as well as hitting one PAT. He also recorded 231 kickoff yards on four attempts with two touchbacks, averaging 57.8 yards-per-kickoff. The freshman currently leads the KCAC Kessinger Division and sits tied for third in the NAIA in made field goals with seven on the season.
 
Saturday marks another opportunity for Scheffler and the Bluejays, as they head up to Leavenworth to take on Saint Mary. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm.
