HILLSBORO, Kan. – Saturday marked the first matinee contest for Bluejay Football as they played host to a strong Kansas Wesleyan team. The Bluejays entered the contest after playing tough against No. 8 Friends, while the Coyotes came in after a drubbing of Bethel.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Jerome Stewart threw for 182 yards with 13 completions on 31 attempts, with a longest throw of 32 yards
- Grady Gebhardt recorded a net of 98 rushing yards on 12 carries, averaging 8.2 yards-per-carry with one touchdown and a longest run of 47 yards
- Weston Rock had himself a day, hauling in 89 yards on five receptions, with his longest reception being 32 yards
- Tyson Dozhier also had a solid day, hauling in 75 yards on four receptions, with his longest reception being 26 yards
- Sterling Gartin recorded four solo tackles and 11 total tackles
- Darriene Gibbs recorded seven solo tackles and 11 total tackles on the day, with 4.5 tackles for loss for a total of 11 yards, with one sack for seven yards
- Bryton Reves stepped up, recording six solo tackles and 10 total tackles
- Derrick King forced one fumble and one pass-breakup, with Kelton Williams scooping up the fumble recovery
- Dan Bevan recorded 216 punt yards, averaging 36 yards-per-punt, with a longest punt of 48 yards
- Jonathon Scheffler hit field goal tries from 50 and 45 yards respectively
