FORT WORTH, Texas – Bluejay Softball is back in action this weekend as they take on non-conference foe Texas Wesleyan in a four-game series, starting with games at 1:00pm and 3:00pm on Friday afternoon. The Rams are a familiar opponent for the Bluejays as the two teams have faced each other this season once already.
LAST TIME OUT
- Dropped three of four games on the road at Wayland Baptist last weekend (4-9, 6-5, 6-7, 5-8)
LAST TIME AGAINST THE RAMS
- Last met on February 7th in Mesquite, Texas
- Tabor won that meeting, 8-6
- Brea Grimsley and Reagan Hammons recorded two RBIs each to lead the Bluejays offensively, with Grimsley hitting a double and Hammons hitting a homer
SCOUTING THE RAMS
- 2-5 on the season, with wins over Bethany (10-2) and Our Lady of the Lake (8-5)
- Fell to Texas A&M San Antonio on the road on Saturday, 10-9
- Arieanna Hernandez leads Texas Wesleyan offensively, batting .474 on the season, while Payton Blanco leads the way with eight RBIs
- Blanco and K.K. Moore each recorded two RBIs in Saturday's loss

- The two programs have met nine times, dating back to 2009
- Texas Wesleyan won the first meeting in 2009, 8-0
