SHEWEY CLOSES OUT INCREDIBLE CAREER AT NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

MARION, Ind. – Thursday afternoon brought one of the most anticipated career performances from senior, Vance Shewey, as he prepared to make the final jumps of his storied career as a Bluejay at the 2025 NAIA Track and Field National Championships in Marion, Ind.

Shewey impressed all season and became the NAIA leader after a 2.16m (7'1") leap at the Zac Kindler Invite, just weeks before touching down in Marion.

In his first three jumps of the day, he passed the marks with ease, clearing 1.96m, 2.01m, and 2.04m. He went on to clear 2.07m on his second attempt, which would go down as his final mark, good for a second-place finish.

Shewey's career at Tabor has been nothing short of incredible as the Meade, Kan. native now has seven NAIA All-American honors to his name, both on the Indoor and Outdoor stage.

With Shewey's performance at the national meet, the Bluejays wrap up the 2025 Track and Field campaign.
