HILLSBORO, Kan. – The third installment of Flashback Friday takes us to the trails as we look at the 2004 Women's Cross Country team.
Led by Head Coach Dr. Karol Hunt, the Lady Bluejays finished runner-up at the 2004 KCAC Cross Country Championships in Ottawa, Kan.
Heidi Schmidt, Angie Jost, and Amber Wiens highlighted the squad, each finishing within the top 10 runners in the meet and earning All-KCAC honors. Schmidt took 2
nd place overall, running a time of 21:27 followed by Jost with a time of 21:35. Wiens wasn't far behind, running 22:11 to take 8
th place.
The 2004 team garnered six top three finishes, winning Ottawa's Bo Boucek Invitational and finishing second at the McPherson Bulldog Invitational and the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational, in addition to finishing second at the conference championship meet.
