MARION, Ind. – Bluejay Track & Field wrapped up the second day of competition at the 2024 NAIA National Championships with some noteworthy performances.
The women's 4x800m relay team consisting of
Danielle Allison,
Brooke Wiebe,
Sonya Zimmerman, and
Hannah Grover took 7
th in the event, breaking the school record for the third time this season and the second time at this meet with a time of 9:08.04. The group earned NAIA All-American status with their 7
th place finish.
Vance Shewey added his fifth NAIA All-American honor of his career after taking 3
rd in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.11m.
Ryan Stade will have a chance to compete for an NAIA National Championship and All-American status tomorrow in the men's 5000m run after taking 5
th overall in the prelims today, running a time of 14:40.91. The final will take place at 3:55pm tomorrow afternoon.
Jordyn Lowrie will look to make her mark in the women's high jump at 1pm tomorrow after winning the KCAC crown in the event.
