Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz. – Fresh off a day of rest, Bluejay Softball would get back into action in Day Three of the Tucson invitational Games. The Bluejays would face two teams from North Dakota: University of Jamestown out of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and Valley City State University out of the North Star Athletic Association.
Game One
Tabor would face Jamestown in the first game of Day Three. The Jimmies were coming off a doubleheader win over in-state foe Minot State University out of the NCAA's Division II. Jamestown would go on to shutout the Bluejays 2-0.
Marisa Carranza recorded the loss in the circle for Tabor.
Game Two
The Bluejay ladies would face another foe from North Dakota in the second game. The Vikings of Valley City State were coming into the game against Tabor after taking a 14-0 drubbing from the University of Saint Francis (Ill.). The Vikings would score five runs by the end of the 3
rd Inning, while it would take the Bluejays until the bottom of the 3
rd to get on the board. The Vikings would score again in the 5
th and 6
th Innings and the Bluejays would score one more time in the fifth.
Cheyenne Washington and
Darcy Gillen scored in the 3
rd Inning, and
Jacie Myers scored the final run for the Bluejays. Tabor would fall 9-3.
Annabelle Buchanan would be charged with the loss for the Bluejays.
