Box Score SEWARD, Neb. Following a rough second half against USAO, Tabor competed well against the Concordia Bulldogs, who received votes in the national polls, but came up just short in the 1-0 defeat.
The first half seemed to be in favor of the Bulldogs, but the Bluejays did well to repel the Concordia pressure despite going a goal down in the early stages, with strong defensive displays from center back Cooper Taylor and goalkeeper Jesus Rondon. The lone goal was scored in the third minute by Concordia's Carter Hinman.
In the second half, the Bluejays were much more the aggressors in the second half and kept the Concordia defense busy, registering four shots on target in the second half. "Overall, we had a strong defensive performance while we continued to find our rhythm in attack," Head Coach Grant Brubacher said.
The Bluejays will be on the road again on Wednesday, September 6th at 8 pm, as they take on the Tigers of Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas.
Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
