Box Score Ottawa, Kan. The Bluejays came into the game against the Braves after a comfortable home victory against Sterling College. However two goals in ten minutes for the Braves would allow them to come home with 2-1 victory.
The first half started poorly for Tabor as the Braves were able to find the net in the 3rd and 13th minutes of the game to put them in a 2-0 hole. The Bluejays then were able to have an offensive flurry, as the hard work finally paid off when a Raegan King through ball found the feet of Marie Seeger who was able to slot the ball into the net to make it 2-1 at halftime.
The second half brought an onslaught from the Bluejays as they recorded seven shots on goal compared to three from the Braves, however the Ottawa backline remained resolute and were able to see out the game to get the 2-1 victory.
"Ottawa came out faster and hungrier than us and hurt us in the first thirteen minutes. I was glad to see us rebound and find one before halftime, but we just missed too many chances. But onto the next and this team is very talented," Head Coach Ian Thomson said.
The Bluejays will next play on the road at Bethel College on Wednesday, October 11 with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
