HILLSBORO, Kan. – Wednesday marked the start of the 2026 KCAC slate for Bluejay Volleyball as they hosted rival Bethel to kick things off. The Bluejays entered the match riding a six-game win streak, most recently taking down Mission on Saturday.
Bethel got things started, winning the first set by a score of 25-17. Tabor responded, taking set two by a score of 25-22 before the Threshers closed out the match by winning the final two sets, 25-21 and 25-16 respectively.
Esther Nederveen led the way offensively, recording 14 kills, while
Kingzley Ratzlaff and
Camila Mendes Toledo also finished in double figures with 11 kills apiece.
Annerieke Nederveen recorded 25 total assists in the loss, while Mendes Toledo led the way on the defensive side of things with 14 digs.
The Bluejays aim to bounce back on Saturday as they head east to take on Ottawa on the road. The match is set for a 1:00pm start time.
