PLAINVIEW, Texas – Tabor College Softball returned to the Lone Star State on Friday as they opened up a four-game series with Wayland Baptist. The series marked the first set of meetings between the two programs.

• With the loss, the Bluejays fall to 4-3 on the season
• The game marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs
• Wayland Baptist took an early lead in the all-time series, 1-0

 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Rachaely Yaya led the team offensively with two RBIs
• Yaya, Brea Grimsley, and Candince Moreno-Hairabedian recorded an extra base hit each, with each hitting a double
• Marisa Carranza pitched a team-high three strikeouts in the loss

• Kayla Garber led the way offensively with two RBIs
• One of Garber's RBIs came from a solo homer in the top of the 7^th
• Jordan Smith earned the win in the circle, while recording a team-high two strikeouts
