MCPHERSON, Kan. – Tabor College Reserve Men's Soccer took on area foe Central Christian in McPherson yesterday evening in their opening math of the season.
The Bluejay Men got out to a quick start, taking a 2-0 lead in the first half by way of goals from
Luke Hawkins and Yulvin Fuentes.
Karson Kratz netted the third and final Bluejay goal just inside the opening minutes of the second half.
Central Christian found their stride in the second half and were too much for the Bluejay defense and found the back of the net three times themselves to escape with a draw.
Reserve Head Coach Rory Cameron shared his remarks from the match, "We played an excellent first half and connected well. There were some great individual performances from players in key positions."
"We are a young side, so we lacked game management towards the end which cost us the win. But overall, a good performance with a lot of positives to take away."
The Reserve Bluejay Men return home to take on bitter rival Bethel next Friday, September 6
