GREAT BEND, Kan. — The Bluejays took on Oklahoma Wesleyan on May 3rd to try to advance to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, the Jays moved to the losers bracket to play Friends University on May 4th and could not come back from a big Falcon lead.
GAME TWO- Bluejays 4 Eagles 6
The 1st inning for the Eagles started off with a few hits and scored two runs, 0-2.
Tabor added one in the 3rd with Mikey Acosta hitting a solo home run, 1-2. A couple of OKWU players got on base in the bottom of the 3rd and were brought in with a single to left, 1-4.
In the bottom of the 5th, a two-run bomb was hit to add to the score, 1-6.
The Bluejays finally added 3 to the score. Miguel Ramos III walked, Garryn Plummer singled, and Cody Moore homered, 4-6.
GAME THREE - Bluejays 4 Falcons 12
It was scoreless until the 4th inning when the Falcons started hitting and scoring, 0-5.
The Bluejays scored three in the 5th. Garryn Plummer got the inning going with a single up the middle. Marcelo Aguirre walked, and Miguel Ramos III doubled to score pinch runner Isaiah Cohens and Aguirre, 3-5.
Friends scored four in the 6th, one in the 7th, and two in the 9th to extend their lead, to 3-12.
The Bluejays added one in the 9th, 4-12.
