HILLSBORO, Kan. – Wednesday evening saw the Bluejays welcome the Bethany College Swedes to town for yet another KCAC Volleyball match. 
 
Set One treated fans to plenty of back-and-forth action with the Swedes just barely edging out the Bluejays, 26-24.
 
The Lady Bluejays saved some momentum from the first set and built up a four-point lead towards the middle of the set, 14-10. Tabor continued to add to their lead, fending off advances from Bethany, eventually taking Set Two, 25-19.
 
Bethany came out of the gate right off the bat in Set Three, leading by seven halfway through the set, 14-7. The Lady Bluejays, not to be counted out, rattled off six straight points to come back within one. From there, both squads continued to battle back-and-forth, before the Swedes took a six-point lead to take the set, 25-19.
 
Huge efforts from Tabor brought the Bluejays back from a massive deficit in the fourth set, tying the match at 20. TC took a two-point lead, courtesy of two kills by Juliana Alaniz. The Swedes forced the set into extras, clinching the 3-1 match win by taking the set, 26-24.
 
With the loss, the Lady Bluejays drop to 4-19 overall and 2-6 in KCAC play. 
 
Tabor hits the road for some Friday evening action in Kansas City as the Lady Bluejays take on Avila at 7:00pm. The match will be broadcast live on the KCAC Network and live stats will be available.
