BLUEJAYS FACE TOUGH LOSS ON THE ROAD

Box Score

Salina, Kan.   The Bluejays came into Wednesday night's game off an impressive win against Southwestern College. Despite a well fought game it was not enough to get by the Coyotes, as the score finished 1-0.

The first half was a battle for the Bluejays as the Coyotes looked to disrupt the Bluejays game plan. Despite having the best of the offense the Bluejays were unlucky to give up an own goal in the 10th minute of the game. The team would battle hard, however this score would hold until the break, making the score at halftime 1-0.

The second half brought an onslaught from the Bluejays as they registered six shots in the second half of play, two of which came from Eskridge. Unfortunately the Coyote defense brought a stiff opposition and were able to defend well and see out the second half and make the final score 1-0 to KWU at the end of the game.

"Overall, it was a disappointing result. We felt going into the game that we were the better team, but credit to KWU, they executed well. We have to move on for an important game on Saturday. This is a game where we can learn how to score goals and learn to stay consistent," said Head Coach Ian Thomson.

The Bluejays will next play at home against Evangel in the homecoming game with kick-off set for 5:30 p.m.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
