Tori Maldano sets for the Bluejays
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 MARSHALL, Mo.  The Bluejay volleyball team traveled to Marshall, Mo. this past weekend for the KCAC/Heart Conference Challenge where they faced three opponents from the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Tabor started out with a match against Graceland University on Friday night. The Bluejays came out strong and won the first set, but got edged out in each of the last three sets. The overall score of 3-1 may be a little deceptive as the Bluejays hung close with the Yellowjackets throughout the game. Sammie Saunders and Katie Lowery led the Bluejays in kills with 7 apiece. Head Coach Casey "Quiggs" Quiggle said, "The ladies showed a lot of fight and we tried everything we had. In the end, we came up short".

The Bluejays started out Saturday playing the host, Missouri Valley College and hung with them close, but ultimately fell 3-0. Fiona Samapio led the team in kills with eleven, while Emma Rhodes led the team in blocks with three.

The Bluejays came out and played their best volleyball of the weekend after a slow start against Clarke, finding their momentum in the second set, winning 3-1. Coach Quiggs had this to say about the game, "Winning in four was really good for the ladies. They know they can play at a high level and are starting to believe it".

Next up, the Bluejays will travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa to play in the William Penn Labor Day Women's Volleyball Tournament this weekend. They will play Mount Marty University at 5 PM and Hannibal-LaGrange University at 7 PM on Friday, and will have a rematch against Graceland University at 9 AM on Saturday and will face the hosting William Penn University at 11 AM.
