Ottawa, Kan.   The Bluejays traveled to 4th seed Ottawa for the first round of the KCAC Postseason Tournament. After an intense game that lasted 110 minutes the Braves would win 4-3 in a PK shootout to put an end to the Bluejays season.

The first half brought an onslaught from the Braves offense as they registered seven shots on the Bluejay goal. Defenders Brianna Johnson, Faith Hazzard and Mallorie Pearson stepped up in a big way for the Bluejays. Despite the onslaught, the score at halftime was 0-0.

The second half was a more even affair with both teams going toe-to-toe with each other. Both teams were locked in a battle and it was all going to come down to who broke first. Despite the battle, the half went on and finished in a 0-0 thriller.

Overtime saw a step up in the intensity of the game with chances coming to both teams, junior forward Jami Dooley hit the post in the dying embers of overtime. After 110 minutes of soccer the game ended 0-0 and would be decided by penalties.

Unfortunately the Braves would come out on top 4-3 in the PK shootout with their keeper making two saves. This would unfortunately put an end to the Bluejays season.

"The game was an absolute battle, I was so proud with how our girls performed, it was a long and emotional week. We had to make some changes that we were not expecting, but the girls stepped up in a big way and we had to have a different game plan. They left it all out there and to lose on penalties and go toe-to-toe was tough. We had chances, Jami made a great run late hitting the post. Stephanie Torres played a great game, Faith Hazzard and Bri Johnson filled big roles. We can hold our heads high knowing we did everything we could do," Head Coach Ian Thomson said after the game.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
