Sterling, Kan.     The Tabor College Bluejays traveled to Sterling, Kansas to take on the Sterling Warriors in another KCAC volleyball match. The ladies had high hopes for this game, to bounce back after a tough loss against the Evangel Valors. 

In the first set, the Bluejays had a good lead but the Warriors never gave up and ended up coming back, losing 20-25. Set two, the ladies came out and never looked back. The team's chemistry and communication helped them win, 25-16. In set three, the Bluejays continued to have great energy and defense to secure another win, 25-17. In a competitive fourth set, the ladies had great persistence and pulled out the win, 26-24. 

"We came into tonight with a strong desire to get back on track. We played pretty well in the first set but had a few too many errors. We switched to a higher gear and didn't look back after that. Our blocking really showed up tonight with Brindelyn Schneider, Katie Lowery, Juliana Alaniz, and Sammie Saunder all contributing," said Head Coach Casey Quiggle. 

Some key players in the match included sophomore, Sammie Saunders with 16 kills. Junior, Juliana Alaniz with 10 kills. Senior, Emma Rhodes with 32 assists and 16 digs. Senior, Kenna Brandes with 15 digs. 

Coach Quiggle also said, "Once again, our passing and defense was stellar and the entire team kept up the energy throughout the match. Emma Rhodes was able to set up the hitters nicely. I am very proud of these young women. They show up to play for each other and to honor God."

Their record is now 2-2 in conference and 10-7 overall. The Lady Bluejays' next game is Saturday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. in Hillsboro, Kansas against the Ottawa Braves.
