Box Score Hillsboro, Kan. The Bluejays came into the contest on Senior Day after humbling Bethel College in midweek. A hard-fought game allowed for the spoils to be shared and the final score to be 1-1.
The first half of the contest brought the best out of the visitors who registered 12 shots on target in the first half. Their hard work eventually paid off when they scored in the 34th minute to make the score 1-0. This score would hold until the break, making the score at halftime 1-0 for the Spires.
The second half saw a complete turnaround by the Bluejays, as the offense from the Bluejays looked as ever threatening. The Bluejays registered 13 shots in the second half. After threatening the Saint Mary goal for most of the half, Jami Dooley was able to tie the game up in the 73rd minute. This score would hold until the end making the final score 1-1.
"I thought we were unfortunate not to come away with a couple of goals. I thought the girls executed cleanly, we put ourselves in good positions to score and hopefully we can continue that going into this week," Head Coach Ian Thomson said after the game.

The Bluejays will next play at home against the Bethany Swedes on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
