Newton, Kan.   The Bluejays came into Wednesday's game against the Threshers after a disappointing loss on the road to Ottawa, looking to bounce back, and bounce back they did with five goals on the night to thrash the Threshers 5-0.

The first half brought great energy from the Bluejays despite having the wind in their face. It didn't take long for the Bluejays to get on the score sheet with the prolific Marie Seeger finding the net in the 15th minute. This was followed soon after by Makenna Torea who found the net in the 33rd minute off a Kylee Bush assist. The Bluejays went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

The second half brought the best out of the Bluejay offense as they recorded 11 shots in the second half. The first of the flurry came from Eskridge, who found herself on the score sheet in the 58th minute after a well-worked move. April Ochoa also scored a screamer in the 61st minute off a Stephanie Torres assist. This was shortly followed by another screamer from captain fantastic Raegan King in the 70th minute. This wrapped up the scoring making the final score 5-0.

"The Bethel game was good for us. It was nice to see our offense really start to get into motion. I think it's starting to form in a positive way, the girls came out with great energy. To come out and find success against a rival and to beat a rival 5-0 is always fun. On to Saint Mary on Saturday," Head Coach Ian Thomson said.

The Bluejays will host the Saint Mary Spires on Saturday, October 14, which marks the date that the team is recognizing Senior Day. Match will start at 1 p.m.
