Thomas Gaskell

Tom Gaskell is heading into his second season as head coach for the Bluejays, marking his seventh year in coaching overall. In Gaskell's first season at the helm, he lead the team to a 5-85 overall record and a 4-6-3 record in conference play. Under his leadership, four Bluejays earned All-KCAC honors, including freshman goalkeeper Neve Mulrooney (second team) and freshman midfielder Haven Deckinger (honorable mention).

After serving as a graduate assistant at Tabor College for two years, Tom is stepping into a new role. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Sports Management Marketing from Tabor College, as well as a Master's in Business Administration. During his time at Tabor he also played soccer.

  • 2018 – Assistant Soccer Coach at Coffeyville Community College
  • 2018-2020 – Graduate Assistant for Tabor Men’s and Women’s Soccer
  • 2020-2021 – Head Soccer Coach at Wichita South High School
  • 2021-2023 – Head Soccer Coach at Hesston College 
  • 2023 – Head Women’s Soccer at Pratt Community College
 
At Hesston College, Tom led his team to its first winning record (8-7-1) in over 30 years. 

Originally from Derbyshire, England, Tom began his soccer career at the Gresley Rovers Academy from 2003-2011 and later joined the Burton Albion’s Academy. At 19, he moved to Kansas to play for Independence Community College during the 2013-2014 season before transferring to Tabor College to finish out his career. 

Tom is married to Mallory (Zuercher), a Tabor alumna who was part of the women’s basketball team. They have two children: Imogen, age 4, and Declan, age 18 months.
