Ethan Gager

Ethan Gager is entering his second season as a Graduate Assistant for the Tabor College Men's Basketball program. With a solid foundation in basketball operations and coaching, Coach Gager brings a wealth of experience to the Bluejays.

Before joining Tabor College, Coach Gager served as a Student Manager for the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Men’s Basketball team from 2019 to 2022. During his tenure, he was promoted to Head Student Manager, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating individual workouts for standout players Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace, who rank as the first and second all-time leading scorers in school history and form one of the most prolific scoring duos in NCAA history.

Additionally, Coach Gager was a Team Attendant for the San Antonio Spurs from 2021 to 2023. In this capacity, he assisted in various aspects of game preparation and equipment management, working closely with both Spurs staff and players, as well as other NBA teams. Notably, he contributed to the organization’s landmark Alamodome game during the 2022-23 season, which set the NBA all-time attendance record, and helped prepare for the inaugural I-35 Series in Austin, Texas, which broke the Moody Center’s attendance records in consecutive games.

In his most recent role as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Reagan High School in San Antonio during the 2022-23 season, Coach Gager helped guide the Rattlers to a remarkable 31-6 record and a 16-0 District Championship. The team also secured Bi-District and Area Championships, marking the second-best overall record in school history and the best district record ever.

Coach Gager earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from UTSA in May 2023 and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Sports Management at Tabor College. His diverse experiences and passion for the game make him a valuable asset to the Tabor College Men's Basketball program.
