Jeff Penner grew up in Ingalls, Kansas. He played football and graduated from Tabor College in 2002 with a degree in Secondary Social Science Education. He also was a student assistant coach during the 2001 football season. After a few seasons, Coach Penner joined Coach Gardner’s staff for the 2004-05 seasons. During this time Tabor College won its 1st Conference Championship and 1st Playoff game in its history. Over the last fifteen years, Coach Penner lived in Kansas, North Carolina, and Oklahoma working several different occupations in teaching, coaching, and agriculture. Coach Penner returns to Tabor College to pursue a Master’s Degree and return to coaching at the collegiate level.
