Jarod Fugate comes to Tabor after spending two years at the Junior College level at nearby Hesston College.

Played two seasons for Head Coach Kyle Olson and the Larks. 

Appeared in 15 of 48 games as a pitcher and 16 of 48 games as a utility player in 2023. Threw 32.1 innings and posted a 5.29 ERA and a 4-1 record, pitching 20 strikeouts and earning two saves. Walked 17 batters, gave up 33 hits and 26 runs. Scored one run as a pinch-runner.

Part of a Larks squad that posted a 31-17 overall record and won the 2023 NJCAA DII Region 6/16 Baseball Tournament in Union, Mo., falling to No. 16 Western Oklahoma State College in the Plains District Tournament.

Appeared in 12 of 46 games in 2024. Threw 52.1 total innings and posted a 6.19 ERA and an 0-6 record and one complete game in two starts and 10 relief outings. Pitched 43 strikeouts, walked 27 batters, gave up 63 hits and 51 runs.

Part of a Larks club that went 10-36 on the season and earned a trip to the NJCAA DII Region 6/16 Tournament in Moberly, Mo., before falling to North Central Missouri College.

Prepped at Norman North High School in Norman, Okla. for Head Coach Brian Aylor. Part of a Timberwolves team that went 24-13 overall and 8-7 in 6A District 2 play and fell to Edmond North in the district tournament.

Personal
Son of Jeff and Wendy Fugate. Has one sister, Kadence and one brother, Ryland. Majoring in Chemistry with a Minor in Biology. Favorite energy drink is White Monster. Go-to snack is M&M's or gummy bears. Favorite Baseball memory is throwing a complete game shutout his Freshman year. If he could have one superpower it would be telekinesis.
