Jake Jones

Jake Jones enters his 8th season overall with the Bluejays, bringing with him a well-rounded and impressive background. He earned his Associate’s Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2014, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Tabor College in 2017. He furthered his education with a master's in business administration, also from Tabor College. During his time at Tabor, Jake played a huge role for the baseball team in 2017 and received the honor of the KCAC 1st team. 

Coach Jones also has experience coaching summer baseball both collegiately and at the high school level. He was the head coach of the Wichita Sluggers in the Sunflower Collegiate League, which is now the Jayhawk League, for three years and made an NBC World Series appearance each of those years. Every summer since stepping away from coaching summer baseball. Jones has been on staff with multiple summer baseball teams in a general manager role. Mainly focusing on helping the team recruit their players.  

Jones also serves in the Admissions Department at Tabor College. He is very involved in recruiting for the Tabor Baseball team and is also a part of the recruiting process for many other students coming to Tabor College.  

Jake and his wife Taylor have two sons, Jett and Bennett.
