KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tuesday marked the NAIA's National Awards Day, and Tabor College student-athletes were honored with several academic awards for their hard work in the classroom.
11 Bluejay teams were named as NAIA Scholar-Team award winners. In order to be named as an NAIA Scholar-Team, requirements include a minimum team GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and include every varsity athlete that is listed on an eligibility certificate in the calculated GPA. Tabor's highest GPA was Women's Basketball, with a 3.81 cumulative GPA. Below are the 11 teams that achieved NAIA Scholar-Team honors.
Women's Basketball – 3.81 GPA
Women's Indoor Track and Field – 3.63 GPA
Women's Outdoor Track and Field – 3.63 GPA
Volleyball – 3.6 GPA
Men's Tennis – 3.52 GPA
Men's Cross Country – 3.52 GPA
Women's Soccer – 3.5 GPA
Women's Cross Country – 3.46 GPA
Men's Outdoor Track and Field – 3.43 GPA
Men's Indoor Track and Field – 3.43 GPA
Softball – 3.4 GPA

Jeff Brewer. "They have committed to being the best version of themselves in the classroom and in their sport, using the gifts and abilities God has given them to pursue excellence. This recognition is a reflection of their dedication, discipline, and hard work, as well as the encouragement and support of our coaches, faculty, staff, and entire college community. We are incredibly proud of the way these student-athletes represent Tabor College, and we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate them and the example they set for others."
