COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tabor Volleyball is back on the road as the Bluejays are set to compete in the Hampton Inn Classic, hosted by Columbia College.
 
The Bluejays are coming off a loss at MidAmerica Nazarene in their season opener on Tuesday and are looking to bounce back against a pair of strong teams in Columbia and Central Methodist. 
 
Columbia will prove to be a solid test for Tabor, as the Cougars are coming off a 2025 season that saw them finish 23-15 overall and 17-1 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC), ending the season with a berth in the NAIA Opening Round. The Cougars' match against Tabor is their first match of the season. Tabor and Columbia have met nine total times, dating back to 1989, with Columbia holding a 9-0 advantage in the all-time series.
 
Central Methodist will be another solid test, coming off a 23-8 (13-5) season in 2025, finishing with a trip to the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) Tournament Quarterfinals. The Eagles open their season against Cumberland (Tenn.) at 4:30pm.
 
With only a small sample size thus far, Esther Nederveen leads the team with four kills, while Annerieke Nederveen leads the team with 30 assists. On the defensive side of things, Olivia Lazenby leads the way with 23 digs.
