HILLSBORO, Kan. – Bluejay Baseball returns to action on Wednesday for their 2026 home opener, as they play host to Highway 56 rival Central Christian. The team is coming off a solid weekend at the Battle in the Hills Tournament where they earned three wins.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• Took down Baker on Saturday, 6-3
• Easton Norris, Jared Mack, Kaison Overbey, Jack Kiser, and Ethan Crawford all recorded hits in the win, with Overbey recording the team's lone extra base hit of the afternoon
• Norris, Overbey, Kiser, and Logan McGuire each recorded an RBI
• Will Beckmann earned the win on the mound, striking out five batters in five innings

 
LAST TIME AGAINST THE TIGERS

• Last met on April 13^th, 2023, in McPherson
• Tabor won a 22-13 slugfest

 
SCOUTING THE TIGERS

• 1-6 on the season
• Dropped a four-game series at Huston-Tillotson over the weekend (5-6, 9-11, 1-8, 1-9)
• Kurt Ippolito is currently batting .360 on the season, leading the team
• Ippolito also leads the Tigers with nine RBIs
• Nico Lopez currently has the best ERA on the team, with a 3.38 on the season
