HILLSBORO, Kan. – Bluejay Men's Basketball Senior forward,
Niieihii Blackbear has surpassed 1,000 career points.
Arriving on campus in the fall of 2024-25, he made an immediate impact on the hardwood before suffering a season-ending injury early on in the campaign. Following a long recovery process, Blackbear returned to the floor this season and has emerged as the team's second leading scorer, averaging 12.7 points per game, already scoring 242 points through 19 games.
Prior to Tabor, the Arapahoe, Wyo. native played two years at Central Wyoming College (Riverton, Wyo.) and one year at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Chickasha, Okla.) where he was coached and mentored by then-USAO assistant and current Tabor head coach, Josh Roach.
