WICHITA, Kan. – Head Coach
Aaron Yoder and his squad returned to action on Saturday after Christmas Break as the team traveled to Wichita, Kan. to compete in the Friends University First-Chance Qualifier at Wichita State's Heskett Center.
"We are very excited about how the meet turned out coming off Christmas break", stated Yoder. "Overall, we had eight personal bests, three event finalists, two event champions, and one runner up performance."
Julianna Maxfield highlighted things on the women's side of things, earning a 1
st place finish in the 600m race with a time of 1:42.16, while taking 2
nd and notching a personal best in the mile.
Adrienne Selzer also took home an event title, earning a 1
st place finish in the 3000m race with a time of 11:25.57.
"We will continue the trend of progress as we prepare for the next meet in 2 weeks at Pittsburg State for the NAIA/JUCO Challenge on January 24
th. The weather is supposed to be nice this week, and we will look to take advantage of that and work to continue the trend of improvement and success."
