SEWARD, Neb. – Tabor College Indoor Track and Field was back in action on Friday as multis athletes
Caleb Wehrman and
Autumn Hickok competed at the Concordia Early Bird Invite in Seward, Neb.
Wehrman was only able to compete on the first day of the meet but posted some solid scores in his events. The highlight of his day was hitting an all-time best in the shot put with a throw of 12.15m (39'10.5") and winning that event. Between the Washburn meet a week prior and the Concordia meet, Wehrman has been able to get a solid start on his multis season and is primed for a successful second semester.
Hickok competed in her first-ever indoor pentathlon and ran away with some great performances, breaking the previous school record set last year by Dakota Voortman with a score of 2130, 430 points better than Voortman's record. She also recorded personal bests in the shot put with a throw of 24'5", high jump with a mark of 4'6", long jump with a mark of 13'6" and running an impressive time of 2:29 in the 800m, good for first place in that event and marking her best 800m time on a 200m flat track.
The Bluejays are back in action after Christmas Break as they head down to Wichita, Kan. on January 10
th to compete in the Friends 1
