TABOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL SET TO TAKE ON SOUTHWESTERN IN HOME-OPENER

HILLSBORO, Kan. – Saturday marks the arrival of an event near and dear to the residents of Hillsboro, Kan.: the 2025 Tabor College Football Home Opener. The Bluejays welcome Southwestern College to Joel H. Wiens Stadium in the 57th all-time meeting between the two programs. Both squads enter the week after picking up big season-opening wins last week, as the Bluejays knocked off Sterling, 34-9, and the Moundbuilders silenced Bethel, 61-7.

"The thing that I appreciate about our kids is that they really weren't quite satisfied with how they played last week, they were happy with it, but they are hungry for more", remarked Head Coach Mike Gardner.

"I think moving forward, we will continually get better and by game four we'll probably have a good idea of what we can do and who we are."

After last week's game at Sterling, Bluejay fans got a taste of what they can expect from the squad this season and there will be plenty of excitement in the air on Saturday evening.

Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and the game will be broadcast live on Tabor Webcast, as well as on the KCAC NetworkLive Stats will also be available.
