HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Tabor College men's and women's tennis teams are gearing up for a pivotal doubleheader on Monday, March 10, as they face both the Ottawa University Braves and the Baker University Wildcats. With conference play beginning and four matches scheduled throughout the week, this stretch will be a critical test for the Bluejays.
The Tabor men's team (1-2) will look to take advantage of their opponents' recent struggles. Ottawa enters the matchup with a 3-4 record and is on a three-match losing streak, while Baker sits at 2-4. On the women's side, Ottawa holds a 2-6 record and is also on a three-match skid, while Baker is still searching for its first win of the season at 0-6.
Head coach Jeremy Nelson emphasized the importance of the upcoming week for his team.
"We have a brutal week coming up with four matches on the week. We also start conference play," Nelson said. "Could be a big week for the Jays!"
With both teams eager to make a strong statement early in KCAC play, Monday's matches will serve as a crucial opportunity for Tabor to build momentum and set the tone for the rest of the season.
