SALINA, Kan. – The two-week break came to a close Friday evening as the Lady Bluejays made the short trek up I-135 to Salina to take on the Coyotes of Kansas Wesleyan University to open the new year. Tabor looked to rebound from their loss at Southeastern University in Florida before the break, while Kansas Wesleyan entered the evening on a nine-game win streak.
The Lady Bluejays found themselves down early as Kansas Wesleyan took a 14-9 lead to close the 1
st quarter. As much as Tabor tried to claw their way back into the game it was no use, with the Coyotes leading by 16 at the half, 31-15, and downing the Bluejays by 15, 62-47.
Kloe Bowin led the way for the Bluejays with 13 points, followed by
Miyah McGee with 11 and
Alyvia Owens with 10. Bowin also led the team on the glass, pulling down seven boards.
TC looks to bounce back on Wednesday with a trip up to Lindsborg to take on Bethany College at 6pm.
